About IwillPDF

IwillPDF is a free set of online PDF tools — merge, split, edit, convert — built and run by one developer, and designed so your documents are never stored.

Who runs this site

IwillPDF is built, maintained and operated by Joel Thomas, an independent developer based in India. It is an independent project, not a company product — there is no team behind a support alias, and mail sent to hello@iwillpdf.com reaches the person who wrote the code.

That is worth saying plainly, because the internet has a lot of anonymous PDF sites and you are about to hand one of them a document.

What the site does

Everyday work with PDFs — combining a scan with a form, pulling three pages out of a fifty-page report, rotating something that came out of a scanner sideways — usually means either desktop software you do not want to install or a site that asks you to sign up first. This one asks for neither.

The tools currently cover:

  • Organising — merge, split, extract pages, remove pages, reorder and rotate.
  • Editing — add text and annotations in the browser, or edit existing text with the advanced editor.
  • Converting — images to PDF, and PDF pages to images.
  • Finishing — page numbers and watermarks.

How your documents are handled

Files are processed and returned. They are not saved to disk, not written to a database, and not read by anyone.

Several tools run entirely inside your browser, so the file never leaves your device. The rest send it to the server, which does the work in memory and returns the result in the same response — nothing is kept once the request finishes.

This is a design decision rather than a policy promise: there is no storage layer to forget to clear. The trade-off is that there is no file history, so download your result when it is offered.

The full detail, including how advertising on the site works, is in our Privacy Policy.

How it stays free

Servers cost money and the tools do not. The gap is covered by advertising shown around the tools — never inside your file, and never selected using anything about the document you are working on. If you would rather not see personalised ads, the opt-out links are in the privacy policy.

There is no free tier designed to frustrate you into paying, because there is nothing to pay for.

Get in touch

Bug reports, a PDF that came out wrong, a tool you wish existed, or a press or partnership enquiry — all go to the same place: hello@iwillpdf.com.

A file that failed is much easier to fix if you say which tool you used and what you expected to happen. Please do not attach confidential documents to a bug report.
