How to convert PowerPoint to PDF

  1. Open the presentation

Choose one or more PPTX, ODP or PPT files. PPTX and ODP slides convert straight away; old PPT files load the document engine first.

  2. Choose the layout

Slides one per page, handouts with 2, 3, 4, 6 or 9 slides per page, or notes pages with your speaker notes.

  3. Preview and share

Check the page previews, then download the PDF.

What ends up in the PDF

Handouts, like PowerPoint prints them

Two to nine slides per portrait page, framed and numbered, with ruled note lines in the three-slide layout. Slides stay vector and sharp.

Speaker notes and hidden slides

Add notes pages after the slides or print notes pages alone. Hidden slides are left out, as in a slide show, unless you include them.

Titles as bookmarks

Each slide title becomes a PDF bookmark, so readers can jump between slides.

Private and unlimited

The slides are drawn on your device. There is no upload, account or daily limit.

Frequently asked questions

How do I print PowerPoint handouts as a PDF?

Choose Handouts under Layout and pick 2, 3, 4, 6 or 9 slides per page. With three per page you can add lines for notes.

Can I include my speaker notes?

Yes. Under Speaker notes, choose slides followed by notes pages, or notes pages only. Each notes page shows the slide with its notes below.

Will animations and videos play in the PDF?

No. A PDF is a static rendering of the slides. Keep the original presentation for animations, transitions and embedded media.

What if a font looks different?

The converter lists any font it does not have. Add the font file under Fonts, or use the fonts installed on your computer in Chrome or Edge, and convert again.

Can I convert PPT to PDF as well as PPTX?

Yes, PPTX, PPSX, ODP and PPT all work. Old PPT files need a computer: iPhone and iPad cannot run the engine that reads them, so save them as PPTX there. Damaged files may still fail.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. PowerPoint to PDF runs entirely in your browser: the file is opened and processed on your own device and is never sent to our server. More in the privacy policy.

Is PowerPoint to PDF free to use?

Yes. PowerPoint to PDF is free, with no account to create and no software to install — open the page in a modern browser and start.

Choose what IwillPDF may use. You can come back and change this at any time from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
