Frequently asked questions
Is the signature legally binding?
It is a visible electronic signature: an image of your signature on the page. It is not a certificate-based digital signature, and it does not ask other people to sign.
Can I still change my answers after downloading?
Not if you keep the default, which makes them permanent. Choose to keep the fields editable if the next person needs to change them, and keep the original either way.
Which characters can I type?
Latin letters, numbers and common punctuation. Text in other scripts cannot be written yet, and the tool tells you rather than saving something wrong.
How do I fill in a PDF form online for free?

How do I sign a PDF without printing it?

Is it safe to put personal details in a form here?
The document is opened and filled in on your own device and is never uploaded, so your answers stay with you. To lock the finished file, add a password with Protect PDF.
Why did a calculated field not update?
Forms can carry scripts that add up or format fields as you type. Those scripts are not run here, so a total the form would calculate has to be typed in. To make the answers permanent afterwards, choose that when you download, or use Flatten PDF.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
