Frequently asked questions
Does extracting pages change my original PDF?
No. You download a new PDF containing only the pages you chose; the file on your device is left as it was.
What's the difference between Extract Pages and Split PDF?
Extract Pages puts the pages you choose into one new document. Split PDF turns every page into its own separate file.
How do I select pages?
Separate page numbers with commas and use a hyphen for ranges: 1, 3, 5-8 extracts pages 1, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8.
Can I change the order of the extracted pages?
Extracted pages always follow the original order. To rearrange them, open the new file in Organize PDF.
Are my files safe? Do you keep them?
Your file travels to our server over an encrypted HTTPS connection, is processed in memory, and comes straight back in the same response. It is never written to disk, nobody reads it, and nothing is kept once the request finishes. More in the privacy policy.
Is Extract Pages free to use?
Yes. Extract Pages is free, with no account to create and no software to install — open the page in a modern browser and start.
