How to rotate a PDF
Open the PDF
Drop the PDF onto the page, or click to choose it. It stays on your device, and every page appears as a thumbnail.
Turn the pages that need it
Use the turn left and turn right buttons on a page. Each click is a quarter turn and the thumbnail turns with it, so you see the result before you save.
Or turn many at once
Pick pages (click, Shift-click a range, or Landscape to pick every wide page), then turn them together. With nothing picked, the buttons turn every page.

Frequently asked questions
Can I rotate just one page?
Yes. Click the turn button on that page's thumbnail. The other pages stay as they are, and different pages can be turned by different angles in the same run.
Does rotating a PDF reduce its quality?
No. The rotation is stored in the file as a page setting instead of redrawing the page, so the content is untouched.
Is the rotation permanent?
Yes. It's saved into the PDF, so the pages open the right way up in any PDF viewer, on any device.
Can I mirror a page instead of turning it?
Yes. Rotating turns a page in quarter turns and keeps it readable. To make its mirror image, left to right or top to bottom, use Flip PDF.
I scanned the fronts and the backs of a stack separately. Can I combine them?
Yes. Turn any sideways pages here first, then use Alternate & Mix, which takes one page from each file in turn and can reverse the second file — usually what the backs of a stack need.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Rotate PDF runs entirely in your browser: the file is opened and processed on your own device and is never sent to our server. More in the privacy policy.
