How to convert a PDF to PowerPoint

  1. Choose your PDF pages

Open a PDF and set an optional page range.

  2. Pick a slide mode

Editable text, the default, builds text boxes and keeps the PDF's pictures. Original appearance keeps the whole page as an image.

  3. Refine your deck

Download the PPTX, review its slides, and add any presentation-specific finishing touches.

Two kinds of slide deck

One page per slide

Pages are fitted into the first selected page's slide dimensions, with their proportions preserved.

Appearance or editability

Choose the tradeoff explicitly rather than discovering a flattened deck after downloading.

No daily limit

Slides are built on your device, so the only practical limit is its memory.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit every object on the slide?

In editable mode, text becomes text boxes and pictures stay separate pictures you can move or replace. Charts and shapes drawn with lines are not rebuilt. In appearance mode the slide is one page image.

Why is a slide a picture in editable mode?

Its page has no text layer, usually because it is a scan, so there is no text to edit. Turn on OCR to recognize the text.

Will mixed page sizes work?

Yes. The deck uses the first selected page's dimensions and fits subsequent pages inside that slide size.

Are animations recovered?

No. Static PDFs do not contain the original presentation's animation timeline.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. PDF to PowerPoint runs entirely in your browser: the file is opened and processed on your own device and is never sent to our server. More in the privacy policy.

Is PDF to PowerPoint free to use?

Yes. PDF to PowerPoint is free, with no account to create and no software to install — open the page in a modern browser and start.
